Aimed at facilities that have to deliver multiple versions from a single master, Deliverance provides a huge range of features, usually provided by numerous space-consuming and expensive hardware tools, often from different manufacturers.
Occupying just 2 RU and designed for use either with any Edifis disk system such as Sting or from any HD or SD source. Deliverance can perform REAL TIME 3:2 pulldown sequence insertion, HD and SD aspect ratio conversion with horizontal and vertical pan, HD down-conversion, Slow-PAL to 525 conversion, HD & SD safe-area generation plus 48 KHz audio re-sampling.
When operated with Edifis disk systems, Deliverance provides an additional capability of generating 525-line SDI from 24 frame/s progressive (24p) masters. In this role, the disk recorder records at 25 frame/s and replays 23.9 frame/s into the 3:2 sequencer feeding into Deliverance's aspect ratio transformer thus yielding the 525-line deliverable.
In HD mode, the system similarly applies 3:2 processing to convert 23.9 frame/s HD into 29.9 frame/s 1080-line HD. Audio pitch is shifted to maintain correct sound output. Image aspect ratio, size and position are fully user-adjustable.
An analogue monitoring output can be connected to a standard PC type display to allow HD picture viewing without requiring further investment in an expensive HD monitor, thus permitting signal verification against the internal safe area generator.
The powerful and unique Pan and Scan feature allows moves to be rehearsed and programmed along a timeline to provide smooth real time image centering during aspect ratio or size conversion.

This dedicated 2U system is purpose built to transform the video aspect ratio and generate 3:2 sequences for the creation of 525 SD and 29.9 HD versions from 25 fps or 24 fps Masters.
Capable of applying the 3:2 sequence to the 23.9 fps input in either SD or HD resolutions. The output is available as SDI or HDSDI depending on the format selected.
Slow PAL to 525 conversion with internal slow PAL reference generator.

HD down conversion of 25 fps to 625 PAL, 24fps or 23.9 HD signals. 3:2 sequence insertion for 23.9 signals SD or HD feeds.
An external VGA monitor can be used to view both SD or HD sources. Internal gamma correction thus enables a more cost effective 'PC style' monitor to be used to view content.
Additionally, when operated with Edifis disk recorder systems, the Deliverance provides the capability of generating HD & 525 SDI deliverables from 24P masters. The Sting disk recorder can record material at 25fps and replay at 23.9fps. The output from the Sting then has 3:2 sequence applied and its aspect ratio is adjusted to yield the 525 deliverable.
Similarly, when used in HD mode, the system applied 3:2 sequence to 23.9 fps HD images to generate 29.9 1080 HD signals.
In addition Edifis Sting DDR's will provide the 4% audio pitch shifted playback required to complete the 525 deliverable.

Overview
An essential tool used in the creation of the many formats required for
deliverables. Starting with film material, telecine transferred at
25fps or 24 fps, with or without audio, the system can generate drop
frame output for 525 NTSC deliverables. Full adjustment of aspect
ratio, size and position can be applied.
The resizing engine can also be used for 25 and 24fps aspect ratio adjustment.
